Cops appeal for help after man is robbed in Paisley

Cops are appealing for information after a man was robbed in Paisley on Friday afternoon.

The 34-year-old was walking along Foxbar Road near to Brediland Road when he was approached by a man and a woman who started speaking to him.

They then threatened him and walked him into a nearby wooded area where he was robbed of his phone and a two-figure sum of cash.

Detectives said the male suspect is of a medium to large build and was wearing a dark grey and red tracksuit. The women was wearing a dark jacket and had dark coloured hair which was tied back in a ponytail.

Detective Constable Alasdair Whitelaw said: "We are appealing for anyone with any information that will help with our enquiries to get in touch with us.

"They can phone Paisley police office through 101 quoting reference number 1771 of June 21.

"Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111 where calls are anonymous."
