Cops and sniffer dogs scour Scots beach in search for missing person

Cops and sniffer dogs have been scouring a Scots beach in search for a missing person.

An eye-witness told the Daily Record how they were cleared off Musselburgh Beach on Tuesday night, January 4.

It's understood sniffer dogs were also at the scene this evening at the popular beauty spot.

Police confirmed they are carrying out a search for a missing person.

It comes as cops revealed they are growing 'increasingly concerned' for a man who vanished on New Year's Eve.

Dean Conner was last seen in the Links Avenue area of Musselburgh about 5pm on December, 31.

The 37-year-old was spotted walking towards the Promenade area of the town.
