Cyclist hospitalised as cops and paramedics race to incident in Fife

Police and paramedics raced to the scene of an incident which left a man hospitalised in Fife today.

Pictures from Braefoot Avenue in Dalgety Bay posted online this afternoon show a number of ambulance crews and police vehicles at the scene.

Officers later confirmed a 20-year-old man had been hospitalised after falling off his bike.

He was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland was made aware of a 20-year-old having fallen while cycling in the Braefoot Bay area in Fife around.50pm on Wednesday, 29 July.

"The man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment to non-life threatening injuries."
