Cops and paramedics race to Glasgow street amid reports of man falling from scaffolding

Emergency services have rushed to Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow tonight following reports of someone falling from scaffolding.

Reports of the accident on the busy city centre street were received at around 6pm this evening, September 18.

Police Scotland vans and paramedics were seen on the street near to the Beresford Lounge complex.

Scaffolding has sealed the section off at the junction to Garnet Street.

Details of any injuries have not yet been released.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance following a report that a man had fallen from scaffolding on Sauchiehall Street.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

The Daily Record has contacted the Scottish Ambulance Service for comment.
