Copper Face Jacks makes announcement as nightclubs across Dublin reopen

Dublin nightclub, Copper Face Jacks, has announced that it will make its long-awaited return to the scene tonight October 22 as restrictions are eased.

Taking to Instagram, the venue made the simple announcement with the caption "Get ready for the return."

They wrote: "It's happening. Doors open 9pm on Friday night. Strictly 21's.

"Covid-19 vaccination certificates with valid ID are mandatory for entry."

Coppers, like all other nightclubs, has been closed since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.

Nightclubs and venues will be allowed have up to 1,500 people standing in their premises, with the new rule saying the rest must be seated.

The conditions for reopening indoor hospitality are officially effective from midnight Thursday night, but most nightclub have waited until Friday night to open their doors after being closed for 80 weeks.
