An agreement has been reached to hold the postponed second leg of this year's Copa Libertadores final at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu, according to reports in the Spanish press.
The match between River Plate and fierce rivals Boca Juniors was due to take place at River's El Monumental last weekend, but was first delayed and then postponed altogether after the Boca bus came under attack from River fans.
On Tuesday, Conmebol confirmed that they would look to move the fixture, South America's equivalent of the Champions League final, outside of Argentina, in order to avoid a repeat of the trouble that hospitalised two Boca players and left others exposed to tear gas.
There had previously been speculation that the game would be moved to Qatar, but reports on Thursday say that the match will now take place at the Bernabeu on 9 December, at 7:30pm GMT, pending the approval of the Spanish government and Ministry of Education and Sport.
The new date is less than a week before the start of the Club World Cup, in which the winner will participate.
A Spanish referee would take charge of the clash, which is finely poised following the 2-2 first leg draw at Boca's La Bombonera in Buenos Aires.
