River Plate or Boca Juniors will have to wait to be crowned Copa Libertadores winners after Saturday's second leg was called off after Boca's bus was attacked ahead of kick-off.
River fans threw stones and wood at the bus near River's Monumental de Nunez Stadium and broke several windows. Players were hit by shattered glass and thrown objects, and suffered the effects of tear gas and pepper spray used by police to contain the violence.
After the first leg was initially rescheduled due to a waterlogged pitch, the sides played out a dramatic 2-2 draw at a sold-out La Bombonera Stadium.
Saturday's game was put back over two hours but will now take place at 5pm local time, 8pm UK time.
