Santiago Solari’s side advanced to the quarter-finals of the competition after a 3-1 aggregate win over Leganes in the last 16 and the European champions were the first name out of the hat in Friday’s draw.
Los Blancos will face Girona, through to the last eight after knocking out Atletico on away goals on Wednesday, when they levelled late in the game to secure a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Madrid will be at home for the first leg, which will take place next week, with the return match coming up in Girona on the 29th, 30th or 31st of January.
Real beat Girona 4-1 at Montilivi in La Liga earlier this season.
