Uruguay comes into this one after a strong group stage and a vital 1-0 win over Chile that clinched Group C and gave them seven points from three games. La Celeste will be clear favorites in this one as they should be. Few teams have been as good as them so far and both Edinson Cavani and Luis Suárez are having a very good tournament in front of goal.
They’ll face a Peru side that played two very good opening matches in the group stage, but were destroyed, 5-0, by Brazil in the last game. They also lost Jefferson Farfán for the rest of the competition due to injury. The five bad goals conceded in that match are a huge concern against Cavani and Suárez, but maybe that was just a fluke. Can Peru once again be a solid defensive unit and cause problems with the ball thanks to the talents of Paolo Guerrero and Christian Cueva?
This match has one clear favorite, but this Copa América has not been predictable at all, so there could be a shock in the cards.
