The final round of matches in the 2019 Copa América group stage could see either a strong victory and qualification or a shocking early exit for one of the big favorites and the best player in the world.

After two bad performances and just one point from their opening two matches, Argentina sits in last place in Group B and are in desperate need of a win. Lionel Messi and his men have a complicated path to the quarterfinals, but a victory should do the trick. If they win and Paraguay doesn’t beat Colombia, the Albiceleste will finish second. If they win and Paraguay also wins, Argentina finishes third and qualifies unless Japan wins on Sunday with a margin of victory two goals better than Argentina’s.
Even a draw doesn’t work for the simple fact that they have a worse goal differential than Qatar, so it’s clear for Argentina that only a victory, preferably by at least two goals, is going to be enough to clinch a place in the Last Eight. After two bad results and performances, the rest of the team must step up to give Messi some help.
Getting a win won’t be easy. Qatar played very well in both games so far and was close to stopping Colombia in the second match. Argentina will face a well-coached team that will take their chances if the 2016 finalists aren’t at their best. This is a huge, crucial game and it’s definitely must-see TV.
