Japan has been struggling as of late, after their disappointing loss to Qatar in the AFC Asian Cup and their disastrous opening day game against Chile where they took a 4-0 loss. They will look to turn that around tonight against one of the favorites and while Japan and Uruguay have previously clashed just seven times, the last game Japan won 4-3 in a pulsating match
It won’t be an easy task for Japan as Uruguay has been on quite a run since the turn of the year, having won each of their four games so far in 2019. What is even more remarkable is they are yet to concede a goal this year, and with a 4-0 win over Ecuador, I’d expect Uruguay to come out with a vengeance and put up some serious goals against Japan.
