Chile can become only the second team is Copa America history to lift the trophy three times in a row if they can beat Peru tonight and head to the Final on July 7th. Alexis Sanchez has gotten back to his top form and has been nothing short of unstoppable in this year’s Copa America campaign.
Chile possible starting lineup: Arias; Isla, Medel, Maripan, Beausejour; Aranguiz, Pulgar, Vidal; Fuenzalida, Vargas, Sanchez
Peru has struggled in this tournament, having been hammered by Brazil 5-0, a scoreless draw against Venezuela, and a tie with Uruguay. They ended up moving forward due to Japan and Paraguay not winning a game in the group stages.
Peru possible starting lineup: Gallese; Advincula, Zambrano, Abram, Trauco; Yotun, Tapia; Carrillo, Cueva, Flores; Guerrero
Prediction: Chile 3 Peru 2. The last five games we’ve seen an onslaught of goals between these two teams and I don’t expect that to stop. While Chile has the slight edge I’d lean on them to pull out the victory and head to the Final.
