Boris Johnson exchanging a Covid-friendly greeting with Angela Merkel as the pair arrive in Glasgow for Cop26

The climate meeting, which is being held at the Scottish Event Campus, is running until November 12.
Photos show a jovial Boris Johnson exchanging elbow-bumps with leaders including German Chancellor Angela Merkel and European Commission President Ursula von Der Leyen.
Another shows the British Prime Minister having a conversation with French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. It is not known what the pair discussed but it comes as the two countries are locked in a dispute amid a post-Brexit fishing row.
US President Joe Biden was seen smiling as he touched down at Edinburgh Airport to attend the summit.
Elsewhere, Foreign Secretary Liz Truss has been spotted giving a Covid-friendly elbow bump to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan – dressed smartly in a black overcoat with a white shirt underneath – was seen boarding a train at London Euston station as he made his way to the summit this morning.
Before his departure, he wrote on Twitter: “The voices of cities are stronger united…For those of us attending #COP26, we’ll make sure our citizens’ voices are heard by the world leaders who must urgently address the climate emergency.”
