Cop probe launched after glassing at Scots bar leaves man with serious facial injury

A man has been glassed and left with a severe injury in what police have referred to as a "serious assault."

The incident occurred at the Caledonian Bar on High Street, Inverness at around 1.15am on Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Police Scotland officers responded to reports of a male suspect striking a male victim with a glass, causing severe injury.

The exact nature of this injury is currently unknown but it is believed that he was taken to hospital for treatment.

A description of the suspect has also not been provided nor has any information regarding what he was wearing at the time.

Police are now appealing for information to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
