This is the effigy twisted pranksters used to spark a police probe amid fears of a brutal murder.
The hoax creation, fashioned from bin bags, gaffa tape and rubbish, was seen hanging from a bridge by rope in Kilmarnock at the weekend.
The effigy was seen swaying overhead on Campbell Street, dangling from the Hurlford Road Bridge, on Friday night.
We told how officers from Police Scotland and firefighters from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene, as video footage of the drama was shared in WhatsApp groups.
The videos showed the 'body' dangling from the bridge, swaying in the wind, as police officers and firefighters investigated.
Some horrified locals believed a brutal gangland murder had been carried out near their homes.
But the 'body' turned out to be bin bags full of rubbish, fashioned to look like a corpse and the aftermath of a horrific murder.
And now a photograph has emerged of a police officer holding the effigy after it was cut down from the bridge.
One local said: "I saw the footage and couldn't believe what I'd seen.
"It was so realistic and really did look like a body.
"Nobody could believe that someone could be murdered, wrapped in a bag and then hung from a bridge.
"This is a quiet part of Kilmarnock and people were shocked at first when we thought it was a real body.
"It seems someone has been trying to get in to the Hallowe'en spirit a bit early and has taken it a bit too far."
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Officers were called to a report of a bag hanging from the bridge on the B7038 on Friday, October 23, around 9.45pm.
"It was a bag of rubbish."
