Cooper Kupp is latest opponent to note Bengals’ predictability is a problem

Cooper Kupp made a mockery of the Cincinnati Bengals defense in London.

Kupp did whatever he wanted in the 24-10 Los Angeles Rams win, catching seven passes for 220 yards and one touchdown.

After the game, Kupp told reporters what’s on film made it easy to produce against the Bengals, per ESPN’s Ben Baby:

“The Bengals played what they’ve shown, and we were able to execute what our game plan was.”

Last week, Jacksonville Jaguars star Yannick Ngakoue said it was obvious what the Bengals offense would do based on personnel.

This time, it’s the defense coming under fire. Following the Rams’ season to date made it obvious Kupp was really the only target doing major damage and Sean McVay’s attack would look to keep that going.

But a Bengals defense directed by Lou Anarumo simply didn’t have an answer. It was down corners Dre Kirkpatrick and Darqueze Dennard, to be 100 percent fair.

This isn’t a new problem for the Bengals this year though and feels like more growing pains for a relatively inexperienced coaching staff. The Bengals now have a bye to figure out how to infuse some variety into things.
