Cool stay of the week: a hidden retreat in the Welsh countryside

Like a scene from Middle Earth, ‘The Burrow’ in the Powys countryside seamlessly blends in to its surroundings creating a hidden hideaway.

With grass on its roof, our Cool Stay of the Week sits on a remote area of farmland in Wales and inside, offers a stylish and modern living space.

Open plan and flooded with natural light, soak up the fresh country air by opening the folding glass doors while you lounge on the sofa or cook breakfast.

The main bedroom comes with a free-standing copper bath tub for an extra dose of luxury and there’s also a bunk room with space for three and its own large double shower.

Outside, on chillier evenings, cosy up to the fire pit while you toast marshmallows or sink into the outdoor hot tub while admiring the twinkling stars above.

Badgers, foxes and deer all make frequent appearances nearby and be sure to check out the pond where you could spot some otters.
