Cool stay of the week: a couple’s bolthole on the Norfolk coast

Whether you’re new parents or need time away just for the two of you, this Norfolk home is the perfect coastal escape.

This week’s Cool Stay of the Week, The Little Stables, sits surrounded by fields near the village of Aldborough around 20 miles from Norwich.

Baby and dog friendly, The Little Stables has its own enclosed garden, perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Inside, you have a well-equipped kitchen and dining area beneath wooden beams, complete with an oven, hob, fridge and microwave. You’ll also find a cosy lounge, double bedroom and smart shower room inside.

The local shop in Aldborough is around a mile away, along with some village pubs to enjoy a meal out. If beaches are more your scene, you’ll find a lengthy stretch of coast nearby in Brancaster and you’re also in easy reach of the Norfolk Broads.

Norwich, where attractions range from the cathedral and castle to the Art Deco Theatre Royal and Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, is a 40-minute drive away and you’re situated among a cluster of beautiful villages.
