Cook School Scotland unveil new packed BBQ box that can feed a family of six this summer

With the hot weather set to arrive in Scotland, and the kids set to get a break from school this Bank Holiday Weekend, it could be the ideal opportunity to get the barbecue out.

Add to that the fact that the Euros start soon and restrictions are beginning to ease and there's never been a better time for a wee (sensible) garden party.

The Cook School Scotland could have the perfect answer for those looking to cater for family and friends on a budget, they've just launched a jumbo BBQ box that can feed four to six people with everything you need to keep everyone happy this summer.

The best way to keep everyone happy this summer (Cook School Scotland)

Priced at just £50 plus £10 delivery (or free collection from their Kilmarnock-based shop), the box includes burgers, sausages, lamb koftas, chicken wings and even side salad and sauces.

And don't worry if you aren't a BBQ veteran, the packs also come with a handy laminated fact sheet which tells you everything you need to know to cook all of the items perfectly, as well as a thermometer to make sure the temperatures are right.

Included in the box is:

4 x Beef Burgers with Cheddar Cheese & Pretzel Buns
4 Cumberland Sausages
4 Chicken satay Skewers
4 x Lamb Koftas
16 x Marinated Chicken Wings
1 x Potato & Horseradish Salad
1 x Carrot & Caper Slaw
1 x BBQ Sauce

Cook School Scotland operations director, Aileen Dick, added that there is also an array of add-on items on offer should people be extra hungry or looking to feed more guests.

She said: “BBQ in a Box is a natural extension of the Cook School in a Box range which was a big success at Christmas, Valentine’s and Mother’s Day.

"We are looking forward to a summer that should see social restrictions lifted and many high profile sporting events to look forward to such as the Euros. We know people will be looking forward to getting together to enjoy this and we want to take the hassle out of entertaining for our customers, all we need now is for the British weather to play ball!”

The boxes, which have been created by the CSS's expert team of chefs to allow people to have an extra special BBQ, are available to purchase from their website, throughout the summer weekly.

Cook School Scotland head chef, Stuart Leslie added: “We created a menu that brings restaurant quality ingredients with handy tips delivered to your front door.

"The box has been designed by chefs to bring you everything you need for a BBQ but with that extra special touch to impress your guests.”
