A teen paedophile who knifed a fellow prisoner with a makeshift blade and hurled a table at him in a classroom has been sentenced to another 32 months behind bars.
Jordan Fluen, 19, was already imprisoned for charges relating to child sex abuse and breaching a sexual harm prevention order when he carried out the pre-meditated attack on an 18-year-old inmate on August 3, 2020.
Fluen enlisted the help of a 17-year-old, also behind bars at HMP Wetherby, Leeds, and the pair carried out the brutal attack as the trio attended a class and sat with a teacher, Leeds Crown Court was told.
Yorkshire Live reports that while Fluen launched the knife at the victim's head, the other teen repeatedly kicked him and stamped on his head.
In CCTV footage showcased to the court, the teacher is seen to urgently call for help before up to a dozen prison officers flood into the room to bring the attack to an end.
The 17-year-old thug can be seen running back into the room moments after Fluen threw a table at his rival.
It took multiple officers and attempts to restrain Fluen and put handcuffs on him. His victim was treated for cuts to his hand, grazes to his body, while a shoe print was left on the side of his face.
During a police interview, Fluen answered no comment while his co-defendant made admissions and said that he was intimidated into taking part or otherwise he would have been next.
Fluen, of no fixed address, appeared from HMP Durham via videolink and was handed a further 32 months after admitting one count of attempted wounding with intent.
That will run concurrently with his 33-month sentence he was already serving for breaching a sexual harm prevention order.
The teen who helped him carry out the attack, who had been locked up for a robbery and other assaults, admitted unlawful wounding and was sentenced 16 months to run consecutively with his current 42-month sentence.
