Convicted Scots rapist caged for 18 months over court order breach

A convicted rapist who breached a sexual offences prevention order (SOPO) has been handed an 18-month jail sentence.

Stephen Inglis, 32, admitted to police he deleted the internet history from his mobile phone during a routine check at his home earlier this year.

The rapist also breached a court order by entering into an intimate relationship with a woman without telling workers who monitor his behaviour.

Inglis, from Edinburgh, was caged for seven years after he admitted a horrific serious sexual assault on a vulnerable woman in her home in 2007.

He was also jailed three years ago after breaching a SOPO when he secretly got engaged to a nun and ran off to join a religious cult in England.
