Convenience store used as Still Game backdrop up for sale in Glasgow

A Glasgow store regularly used as a regular Still Game backdrop is up for sale.

Alfy’s Paper Shope in Glasgow’s Townhead area was the location of shopkeeper Navid Harrid's convenience store in the beloved comedy.

Now, the store is on the market for £64,995, the Daily Record reports.

Stocking items including confectionery, groceries, hot takeaway food, and coffee, estate agents Hilton Smyth said the shop is a “real hub within the community” and offers “an excellent opportunity for a new owner to take this famous business to the next level”.

The estate agents added: “A tremendous opportunity to own this iconic turn-key business, and early enquiries must come highly recommended to avoid disappointment.

“This is the iconic location for one of Scotland’s most popular BBC comedy TV shows Still Game, with the shop being used as a set location for the filming of the ever-popular TV series and most famously known as Harrid’s Convenience Store in the hit TV show.

“As a result of the popularity, it leads to an exceptional level of footfall and passing trade as it is now known worldwide, with visitors from all around the world."
