Sexy Beasts is a new dating show that has caused a stir with its unusual premise.
Instead of couples going on a date and making a decision on whether they're attracted to someone based on looks alone, the programme - a Netflix revival of a BBC reality show from 2014 - features contestants wearing outlandish prosthetics, in a bid to get people to focus on chemistry and personality.
This week's episode featured Emma the 'Demon', who went on a date at an amusement park with Bennett, who was disguised as a mandrill monkey.
And the well-known faces on Celebrity Gogglebox couldn't hide their feelings tonight (July 23) when Emma and Bennett got more closely acquainted by going in for an early kiss - while still fully costumed.
"I just don't get this," said DJ, model and presenter Snoochie Shy, watching from the sofa with journalist Jeremy Vine.
Gyles Brandreth said he thought it was "a bit kinky", while Zoe Ball asked: "How is that even working?"
And Nick Grimshaw exclaimed: "I don't want to be a prude but that is weird. You don't snog a mandrill at Thorpe Park."
Netflix's synopsis of the episode said: "Professional model Emma is over men who only chase her beauty. Dressed as a demon, she hopes to find a connection with a mouse, statue or baboon."
The streaming platform says the show features people "hoping to say goodbye to superficial dating."
"Real-life singles sport elaborate makeup and prosthetics to put true blind-date chemistry to the test," Netflix says.
Celebrity Gogglebox is on Channel 4 on Fridays at 9pm.
