Contestant on The Chase under fire after fans say she looked bored on today's show

Eagle-eyed fans of The Chase thought a contestant pulled a 'bored' reaction on today's show.

Four new quizzers appeared on the popular ITV gameshow and took on Chaser Shaun Wallace in a bid to win a cash prize.

Bradley Walsh welcomed Rebekah, Rhom, Kath and Mark onto the show to test their knowledge against The Dark Destroyer.

Rebekah, a 27-year-old project manager, was first up and built up £5,000 before she was caught.

This meant it was the turn of Rhom, a 40 year-old physiotherapist originally from the Philippines, who now lives in London.

When the presenter asked Rhom what he planned to do with any his potential winnings, the NHS worker described how he was set to use the money to go on holiday.

He said: "I hope to take my wife to an African Safari. It's a long overdue honeymoon. We were married in 2012 during the Olympics and we call it the Olympic wedding."

However, when the camera panned to show the other players on the show, fans of The Chase on Twitter thought Kath looked bored.

One user said: "Oh Kath looks bored"

Another commented: "Why does Kath hate Rhom?"

A third added: "That look from Kath was. Aww shut up Rohm and get on with it. Is she bored already"

Rhom gambled to take the higher offer of £30,000 and was caught by The Chaser.

The retired customer assistant from Tyneside was next up and put in an incredibly impressive performance to take home £4,000.

Kath was the only member of the team who made it to the final Chase after Mark was caught after also taking the higher offer of £66,000.

Fans of the show also thought Kath looked unimpressed with the player's decision to go for the higher amount.

One user said: "Oh dear, Kath didn't look best pleased that Mark went high did she?!"

Bradley Walsh agreed and said the players were too 'gung-ho' with taking the higher offer.

Kath only managed to build up five steps in the Final Chase and Shaun Wallace caught her in 27 seconds.

The Chase continues tomorrow at 5pm on ITV and ITVHub
