Bradley Walsh was taken aback to introduce The Chase's “oldest ever contestant” onto the show.
Bradley welcomed another round of hopefuls ready to take home a hefty cash prize but one of them walked away as an inductee to The Chase's Hall of Fame.
Their opponent today was The Vixen but attention was drawn to contestant Val. After Bradley quizzed Val on his age - 94 - Bradley admitted Val is the show's oldest ever contestant.

Val said: "Yes I think am the oldest that has ever been on and I’m feeling like it at the moment.” When asked what he does for work, he added: “I was a vet, now I’m retired and I like to watch television, horse racing and losing.”
Bradley then quizzed the pensioner on his favourite TV show, to which Val cheekily quipped back and said: "The Chase." He also revealed how his name was a mistake as his mother originally wanted a girl, the Daily Star reported.
Val bagged an impressive £5,000 in his cash builder, and the Vixen offered him a mere £1,000 for her low offer and a gigantic £94,000 for her high offer.
Val stuck to his guns and went ahead with his hefty £5,000 - and it paid off as he managed to beat the chaser and land a place in the final.
And viewers watching the show at home couldn't help but gush over the 94-year-old, with one who said: "Val showing them how it's done! Age is just a number." A second added: "Val has to be my favourite ever contestant" and a third quipped: "Well done Val!"
In the final chase, Val, Nabeel and Meng were playing for a tasty £11,00 and managed to get 17 questions right. Unfortunately, they were caught by The Vixen with 33 seconds remaining, meaning they all left empty-handed.
