Construction worker racially abused and attacking police officer after downing litre of vodka

A construction worker racially abused and assaulted a police officer after downing a litre of vodka.

Dad-of-three Daniel Lukanski, 35, hurled racist remarks at the cop who detained him inside his Edinburgh flat.

He called the officer an “Irish p***y” and an “Irish c***” during the incident.

At the city’s sheriff court yesterday, Lukanski admitted acting in a racially aggravated manner towards PC Ryan Bunting in March – shouting, swearing and using racially offensive language.

He also pled guilty to an assault on PC Bunting by struggling with him.

Sheriff Peter McCormack fined Lukanski, who has returned to his native Poland, £320.
