Development work is well underway for a new partnership centre in Whitburn.
West Lothian Council is investing nearly £5 million in the new facility which will see the redevelopment of the Burgh Halls on East Main Street to create the new centre.
Work restarted on the site towards the end of 2020 with Livingston-based company Maxi Construction appointed as contractor with the facility anticipated to open in spring 2022.
Progress continues to be made on site and with the framework of the building in place, contractors have begun work to shape the interior of the building.
West Lothian Council, depute leader Kirsteen Sullivan, joined a small group on a site visit where they got to witness the progress being made first hand.
Councillor Sullivan said: “It was pleasing to see how work has progressed on the new partnership centre for Whitburn. You can see the building is starting to take shape and we are all looking forward to its completion.
“This is a significant investment towards delivering a modern facility which will provide the ideal setting to deliver vital services for the local community and enhance the experience of customers and service users.
“Located in the heart of the town, the finished partnership centre will also hopefully serve as an important hub for the local community by adding to the existing community facilities in Whitburn.”
