Construction progresses well on Nottingham's new Jaguar Land Rover showroom

A multi-million pound Jaguar Land Rover showroom is set to open in Nottingham later this year as work on the project progresses well.

The new site in Enterprise Way, next to Pentland Brands and Experian, will bring the two brands together in one showroom and will show customers the latest models and products.

Planning permission was granted for the development last year and the main building is now up.

Andrew Watt, national franchise director for Stratstone Jaguar Land Rover, said: "The new showroom is an exciting development for Stratstone and our teams at Jaguar and Land Rover Nottingham .

"Bringing both iconic brands under one roof will enable us to deliver a seamless experience to our customers and showcase the full Jaguar Land Rover range.

"Work is progressing well and we are currently working to schedule for our opening in December 2019. The site is quickly taking shape and we’re looking forward to unveiling our brand-new showroom to our customers later this year.”

When the work is completed the current Jaguar dealership in Derby Road will be vacated and the Land Rover showroom at the Riverside Retail Park will be turned into a service centre.

In August, property developer Unite announced its intention to create a 620-bed block of student flats in Derby Road.

The exact location of the development, which is estimated to cost £48 million, has not been confirmed but it was announced it would be built on a car showroom near the University of Nottingham.

Jaguar and Land Rover were acquired by Tata Motors in 2008 and the two brands were merged.
