Construction of Zip World's latest adrenaline attraction delayed due to coronavirus

Construction of the latest adrenaline attraction from Zip World at the former Tower Colliery site in South Wales has been been delayed due to the coronavirus.

It said while the schedule for its Zip World Tower attraction at Rhigos in Rhondda Cynon Taf was under review, its launch looked likely to be pushed back to spring 2021.

In a statement it said: "As we all share this unique and difficult moment in time, life as we know it has changed dramatically in just a few weeks. This has meant that many businesses including Zip World have had to temporarily close their operations and change their business plans for the health of the nation."

The new site in the Cynon Valley will be its fourth location and a first for the company outside of North Wales.

Zip World has grown rapidly since launching its first super fast t zip line at Penrhyn Quarry in Bethea in 2013.
