Construction group appoints new financial director

The Cruden Group has appointed Euan Haggerty as its finance director.

Haggerty moves to the development and construction group having left his position as finance and acquisitions director at James Gibb Property Management in February.

The chartered accountant was previously finance director at Miller Developments. He is an associate member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers who also has corporate experience with the Royal Bank of Scotland and Arthur Andersen.

Haggerty is also on the board of the charity Who Cares? Scotland.

Kevin Reid, chief executive of the Cruden Group , said: “Euan’s wealth of experience within the property sector, and in terms of operational finance, makes him an excellent addition to our executive team during the next phase of business growth for Cruden.”

Cruden takes responsibility for a turnover of more than £200 million at a group which employs 600 people across two Edinburgh offices and one in Cambuslang.

He said: “I’m delighted to join such an established and successful construction and development group and look forward to working with the teams across Cruden to deliver performance and growth through our exciting pipeline of work.”
