Conservative movement sees triumphs in rejecting Democrat lawfare and overreach

American people rejecting Democrats' lawfare against Trump.

In a recent interview, Ned Ryan, founder and CEO of American Majority, discussed what he sees as the biggest triumphs of the conservative movement in the past year. Ryan emphasized that the American people are rejecting what he calls 'Democrats lawfare against Trump,' referring to the ongoing investigations and legal actions targeting the former president. He cited the public's rejection of the legitimacy of targeting a political opponent as evidenced by poll numbers showing Trump's popularity.

Ryan also highlighted other conservative triumphs, such as the successful boycotts of Target and Bud Light by constitutional populists who opposed the corporations' promotion of transgenderism. These boycotts reportedly cost the companies billions of dollars. Additionally, Ryan praised Elon Musk's commitment to free speech through his platform X (formerly known as Twitter), which Ryan believes has broken the stranglehold of corporate propagandists on the narrative.

Sarah Bedford, investigative editor for the Washington Examiner and a Steamboat Institute Blankly Fellow, agreed with Ryan's analysis. She noted that the overreach of the left on various issues, including diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), the transgender movement, and parental rights, has led to a resurgence of conservatism. Bedford argued that the backlash against these overreaches is making conservatism more popular among the American people.

The interview also touched upon the disconnect between the Biden administration and public opinion. While the administration believes that finding the right set of talking points can win people over to their economic policies, Bedford argued that the policies themselves are driving the problem. She suggested that the Biden administration's attempt to put progressive ideals into practice has highlighted the far left's attachment to these policies and resulted in overreach.

Both Ryan and Bedford criticized the elite media class for living in their own bubble and being detached from reality. They believe that this detachment has led to a disconnect between the media's perception of the Biden administration's policies and the opinions of regular working-class people.

In conclusion, Ryan and Bedford expressed optimism about the future of conservatism, particularly in the upcoming 2024 elections. They emphasized the need for conservative populism to triumph in order to restore what they view as the public's trust in effective governance.
