The green-fingered, hard-working Woodhall, Faskine and Palacecraig Conservation Group has held a series of events to help keep residents fighting fit and the environment in fine fettle.
Members of the Monklands organisation are taking part in the "health walks" initiative run by Glasgow Women's Library and local doctors' practices.
A spokesperson for the conservation group told Lanarkshire Live : "During the lockdown, the weekly walks operated subject to regulations laid down by the Scottish Government.
"But they are now back to full strength and take place on alternate weeks, from Sikeside and Calderbank."
The conservation group also held a "wonderful" dawn walk organised by member Aileen Stewart to "hear the chorus of birds in the Woodhall area, where people can watch the sun come up and be restored by the views".
Another walk is planned by the group "very soon", which will take place at either dawn or dusk.
Describing other exciting community activities by the group, the spokesperson said: "A very successful tree planting saw 100 oak saplings planted, which will be part of the community land for generations to come.
"A non-digging group strimmed some pathside areas, did a successful litter picking event and cleared parts of the community garden. It was very heartening to find children and young people helping us out.
"Further events will take place over summer. They will operate within Covid restrictions and will include some simple garden weeding and tidying, art days for fairy doors, nature walks and photography for small groups."
