Conor McGregor weighs in for Dustin Poirier fight at UFC 257

Conor McGregor has weighed in for his UFC 257 main event bout against Dustin Poirier.

The Notorious returns to the octagon for the first time in over a year in the early hours of Sunday morning on Fight Island, Abu Dhabi.

McGregor weighed in at 155lbs on Friday morning and said: "155, that's championship weight."

Poirier weighed in at one pound heavier than McGregor. Both men will take place in ceremonial weigh-ins this afternoon.

McGregor previously defeated the American when they first clashed in 2014 and has vowed to beat him in less than 60 seconds this time around.

Speaking at Thursday's pre-fight press conference, the former two-weight champion said: “I got him out of there in 90 seconds the first time, so I’m not that far off.

“That’s a complete confidence in my preparation and in my abilities. I know there’s questions about my abilities.

"I know he’s heavier and on a different weight and more experienced, but I feel I can do it. … I believe I can get him out there and possibly hit him early, but I am hoping for a good, long bout.”
