Not everyone would welcome Conor McGregor with open arms if the UFC star was to make the switch to professional wrestling, according to WWE star Big E.
McGregor is currently recovering from a broken leg after his first-round stoppage loss against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 earlier this month.
The Irishman has previously spoken about his fondness for WWE boss Vince McMahon, and has even recreated McMahon's 'Billionaire Strut' to flaunt before his UFC fights.
The UFC and WWE have always been closely linked, with fighters such as Ronda Rousey crossing over to wrestling and Brock Lesnar making sporadic appearances in the octagon.
Big E admits that McGregor's stardom makes him a great fit for the WWE, but some of the roster may not be so keen on the crossover.
“I assume that Conor will continue to fight in the UFC. As far as his ability to crossover, I will never roll my eyes or be angry at a celebrity or an athlete from another sport getting opportunities in WWE," Big E told Vibe & Wrestling.
“I think Conor, if he does come to WWE, if he was brought in, how could I ever complain about that? He’s a massive star.
"Not everyone would welcome him or feel the same but he’s extremely entertaining. And I think if he did come to WWE I think he would get a lot of attention."
The Irishman has been troubled by a fair share of legal issues over the past few years, something that concerns Big E especially if McGregor was to move to the WWE.
“I think he would be worth the investment I’m sure for a lot of people so yeah, I would not have a problem with it," he added.

“For me, I guess the only stuff that bothers me, and it’s not my position to really judge him, but it’s the legal stuff you know what I mean?”
McGregor has not shied away from giving his thoughts on some wrestling stars in the past, most notably mocking John Cena in a 2016 interview.
"I think these WWE guys, they're not right in the head some of them," he said.
"I mean the new guys are dweebs, let's be honest, absolute dweebs. But the old school guys are legends. Ric Flair is a legend. The McMahons of course, dons. But I just say it as it is, they're dweebs.
"What's the main guy? John Cena? He's 40 years of age walking around in a luminous orange t-shirt and headband talking about no one can see him.
"You can see him right there, he's a big fat 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympian motherf*****. Do you know what I mean? They're dweebs those guys."
