The Notorious' story from humble beginnings to world fame is a well known one by now, but this documentary looks more at his fight with boxing supremo Floyd Myaweather.
It was a fight that most people couldn't see possibly happening with plenty calling it merely a huge promotional stunt.
But it did happen and McGregor - a famous face anyway - quickly became a global figure as he hit the biggest financial jackpot of his career.
