Conor McGregor UFC news: Tony Ferguson bites back at Notorious jibes over weight cut

Tony Ferguson told Conor McGregor to 'get in line' after the Dublin fighter laughed at his rival's weight cut for UFC 249.

The April 18 show was postponed but Ferguson decided to weigh in on Instagram Live in front of fans while claiming he lost 24lbs since the start of the week to successfully hit the 155lbs mark.

McGregor took to Twitter to mock his lightweight rival in a tweet he subsequently deleted, saying: "Hahahajaj. You will be bet to the absolute nucleus pulposus when I get you, kid."

Ferguson had been due for a lightweight title tilt before Russian travel restrictions ruled out Khabib Nurmagomedov for the event and Justin Gaethje stepped up in his place.

He claims that former two-weight champion McGregor and current lightweight kingpin Khabib will have to 'get in line' to face him when UFC action resumes.

Ferguson, 36, insists that both Nurmagomedov and McGregor will have to 'get in line' to face him.

Speaking to ESPN, he blasted: "I don’t give a f***. Seriously, I don’t give a s*** about what he says.

"This dude wants to fight now because I’m a value guy. No way.

"I can’t count on these two dudes (McGregor and Khabib). I got Justin Gaethje to worry about. They can get in line.”

UFC boss Dana White is planning to hold UFC 249 on May 9 to kick off weekly events on a 'fight island', the location of which has not been revealed.

White has met with US President Donald Trump, who is keen to see sporting events go ahead in the absence of fans if necessary.
