Conor McGregor UFC news: Notorious training with Dillon Danis ahead of UFC return against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone

Conor McGregor has linked up with team-mate Dillon Danis in Las Vegas ahead of his fight with Donald Cerrone on Janruary 18th.

The Dubliner returns to the cage at UFC 246 when he takes on 'Cowboy', and it seems that he's taken the opportunity to do some last-minute training with Danis.

Bellator star and long-time friend od McGregor Danis is based in the US preparing to take on Kegan Gennrich in California on January 25th.

Sharing a picture of the two training, Danis said: "2 of amerikaz most wanted".

It comes as McGregor showed off his ripped physique ahead of his highly anticipated bout against Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone .

The Notorious , 31, took to Instagram to share pictures of his toned body with his 33.3 million followers as he gears up for his return to the octagon in less than two weeks.

Accompanying the post was an ominous caption which simply read: "11 days"

Several fellow MMA athletes and fans commented on the post sharing their excitement for the upcoming event.

Swedish MMA fighter Samuel Ericcson said: "LET'S GO".

Meanwhile gym guru and influencer Joey Swoll dubbed him a "champ" in his comment.

English fighter Nathaniel Wood wrote: "hell yes!!!! let’s f*****g go!!!"

The Dubliner will return to the UFC cage for the first time since he suffered crushing defeat against Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov in October 2018.

McGregor will face off against the 'Cowboy' in Las Vegas on Januray 18.

The former lightweight and featherweight UFC champion wants three fights in 2020 and has also been linked with match-ups against Justin Gaethje and Jorge Masvidal.

The fight will be contested at 170 pounds but fans have been speculating whether or not McGregor will drop back down to lightweight after the Cerrone clash.

Cerrone, 36, from from Colorado has never held a UFC title but boasts the record for the most wins in UFC history (23), the most finishes in UFC history (16), the most post-fight bonuses in UFC history (18) and the most knockdowns in UFC history (20).

Earlier McGregor's coach John Kavanagh claimed the Crumlin man was in the best shape of his life but this was disputed by Khabib's manager Ali Abdelaziz strongly disagreed.

Abdelaziz called his fitness into question describing the Irish fighter's body as a "blew-out balloon".
