Conor McGregor UFC news: Notorious' teammate Dillon Danis reportedly not allowed in corner for Cerrone fight

Conor McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis is reportedly not allowed in the Dubliner's corner for his fight against Donald Cerrone.

Danis is said to still owe money to the Nevada State for his part in the post-fight brawl that marred McGregor's defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

According to Nevada State Athletic Commission boss Bob Bennett, the 26-year-old still owes €6,744 and cannot corner McGregor until he pays the fine.

Yahoo Sports reporter Kevin Iole tweeted: "According to Bob Bennett, @dillondanis owes state of Nevada, NOT the athletic commission, $7,500 from his punishment in the #McGregorKhabib brawl at #UFC229.

“He will not be allowed to work @TheNotoriousMMA's corner at #UFC246 until he pays the fine.”

Danis was accused of goading Khabib and his corner throughout the Las Vegas bout in October 2018.

And when the Russian defeated McGregor by a fourth round submission, he jumped out of the octagon towards Danis.

A melee then erupted between both camps that saw Khabib and McGregor both receive bans from the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

McGregor will be fighting for the first time since that loss when he takes on 36-year-old American Cerrone.

He has been training with Danis among others in Vegas in recent days in his final preparations for the fight.

And the Crumlin man will still have his long-term coach John Kavanagh in his corner, while he has also drafted in his former boxing coach and two-time Olympian Phil Sutcliffe.
