Conor McGregor UFC News: Notorious spotted at Bellator 227 in first Irish public outing since pub punch video

Conor McGregor is out and about in Dublin tonight supporting his teammates at a Bellator MMA fight night.

The Irishman has kept a low profile in recent weeks, but showed up at the 3Arena to support his pals Kiefer Crosbie, Peter Queally and James Gallagher in their respective bouts.

McGregor, 31, has apologised after a video emerged which appeared to show the Notorious punch a man in a pub after an exchange of words.

And Irish fans took very kindly to the MMA legend, who received a rapturous round of applause when he did a lap outside the cage before taking his seat to watch the bouts.

He wore a white suit and glasses as he eagerly supported his teammates.

McGregor’s support clearly had an impact as Kiefer Crosbie recorded his seventh career win over Hugo Pereira.

And speaking after the bout, Conor said that his close friend’s performance was ‘very good’.

After the bout, the Notorious gave up his reserved seat so that he could join two fans with disability in the front row.

McGregor posed for photos with fans, including Ian O'Connell, a fan who was paralysed from the neck down after an unfortunate accident.

It isn't the first time Conor has opted to sit next to pal O'Connell, the pair were spotted together at a BAMMA fight night in May 2018.

McGregor almost lost his cool when close pal Peter Queally picked up a second round knockout over Ryan Scope.

But security stopped him from repeating his 2017 cage-jumping antics as he embraced Queally following a hard fought battle that saw the Waterford man dropped before mounting a stunning comeback.
