Conor McGregor UFC news: Notorious shares throwback picture with Dee Devlin

Conor McGregor has poked fun at himself in a few photos that show how his wealth has soared.

The former apprentice plumber has become one of the richest athletes in the world.

But he posted an old photo of himself on Instagram on Tuesday night wearing a suit that is missing a button alongside his long-term partner Dee Devlin.

He then jokingly compared it with a new photo of the couple in front of two flashy cars.

McGregor captioned the post: "From No button to Push button."

It comes as Khabib Nurmagomedov has warned McGregor to stay away if he has any plans of gatecrashing UFC 242.

The undefeated Russian returns to the octagon for the first time since defeating McGregor to take on Dustin Poirier in Abu Dhabi this September.

There has naturally been speculation that McGregor could appear in the Far East to rile up his nemesis.

But Nurmagomedov has warned the Crumlin man that a repeat of his antics at the UFC 223 media day - where he attacked a bus carrying several fighters including Khabib - will not be tolerated in Abu Dhabi.

He told Rossiya-24: “It will be more difficult to leave Abu Dhabi than New York. If he plans to come, he should sit and watch the fights because it will be impossible to pull any of his underhanded tricks there.”

“Abu Dhabi is no place for show-offs. Let him come if he plans to come, but his shenanigans won’t work there.”

UFC president Dana White does not see any problems if McGregor turns up at UFC 242.

White told ESPN: “I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. I honestly believe in that region they like Conor McGregor, too. I know they take things a little serious when stuff is said. But Khabib won the fight, and I think it’s all just trash talk.

“Obviously (with) Khabib and Conor there’s no love loss. Those guys do not like each other, but it’s part of the business. Culturally, I don’t think so. I would have no problem with Conor showing up to it.”

“He could. He could possibly. He hasn’t said, I’m saying he could probably show up to that fight. I don’t know if he will. He hasn’t said anything to me.”
