Conor McGregor UFC News: Notorious shares photo of son Conor Jr in boxing gear

Conor McGregor's fight career may or may not be over, but his son's appears to be only just beginning at the age of 2.

The Notorious, 31, took to social media to share a couple of pictures of his young son in training gear for his 32 million Instagram followers.

The Irish UFC star posted a support message alongside the photos for the 'Hope for Evie' campaign to raise funds for a baby girl in Dublin who has a rare genetic condition.

He congratulated his old boxing club in Crumlin for their involvement in the campaign, and a few minutes later posted some more family snaps.

This time, they showed the controversial Irish fighter sharing a laugh with his son in a number of close-up selfies.

McGregor has two children with long-term girlfriend Dee Devlin, the pair welcomed their daughter Croia into the world earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Dana White says McGregor fighting Frankie Edgar makes "absolutely no sense".

The Notorious claimed he would fight Edgar for free after the American called him out earlier this week.

But UFC President White has ruled out the bout coming to fruition, insisting Donald Cerrone or Justin Gaethje could be next for McGregor.

The Dubliner has not been seen in the Octagon since losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov over a year ago.

White told NESN : "It is on me. Frankie Edgar is two weight classes below Conor McGregor, and we have other plans for Frankie right now.

"That's not the fight to make. That guy is in line for another title run, so for him to jump out of his weight class and go up two weight classes to fight Conor makes absolutely no sense when he could possibly be in line for another title shot.
