The Dubliner shared the touching picture with his 31 million Instagram followers this afternoon.
It comes as the MMA star appears to be deep into training for his UFC return.
The Notorious has been putting in the hard yards in training, and he posted a video of one of his latest runs with his dog to Instagram.
With no comeback date announced yet, fans have been speculating when the Irishman will return to his sport of MMA, and the latest footage could indicate that it's coming soon.
Khabib Nurmagomedov's father had invited McGregor to Moscow for a rematch with his son.
The Crumlin man was no match for the Russian when the pair met last October as Nurmagomedov won via submission in the fourth round of their Las Vegas bout.
But the fighters have developed a bitter relationship and the Dagestani man's dad has made a proposition to the Notorious.
Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov told YouTube channel Zhivina100: “If McGregor wants it, then Moscow is waiting for him.
“He said once that he has more fans here than Khabib.
“We want to host him in Moscow, he is welcome – we are waiting.”
