Conor McGregor UFC News: Notorious reacts to fan chasing him for half an hour to take a selfie

A young fan got the chance to meet Conor McGregor after chasing his car through Dublin on his bike for half an hour.

18-year-old fan Jordan Kavanagh spotted the Notorious in his hometown, and took to his bike to track down the Irishman for a rare selfie with the star.

McGregor, 31, had been keeping a low profile after apologising in the wake of a video appearing to show him punch a man in a Dublin pub emerged, and only appeared publicly again over a week later to support friends at Bellator Dublin on September 27th.

But fan Kavanagh tracked him down and got a photo, as well as a retweet from the former two-weight world champion, who said: "Haha great work Jordan!

"I think we’ve got a new McGregor Fast [the Irishman's fitness programme] athlete on our hands!"

And McGregor Fast later contacted Kavanagh to sign him up for the programme, which he tells Irish Mirror he is in the process of joining now.

Meanwhile, Georges St-Pierre would return to the UFC for a mega-fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov or Conor McGregor , according to his coach.

The MMA legend has not fought since he beat Michael Bisping to win the middleweight title two years ago in what was his first fight for four years.

St-Pierre, 38, was struggling with ulcerative colitis but has now recovered and could now return to the cage.

But his coach Firas Zahabi insisted the Canadian will not drop down to lightweight.

“He’s older now, and life is good," he told MMA Junkie . "He’s found a social life, a balance in life of training and family and friends. To leave all that to do 155lb is a big cost in terms of sacrificing energy and preparation.

"He would have to prep six months to get to that. He would have to set it up to get done. 155lb would be work. Is he going to work that much? I think that ship has sailed.

"I'm not talking for Georges. In my opinion he’ll only come back for a mega-fight. Like a mega-fight.

"No titles needed, either. Could be a title. I don’t think that’s really important to him. Like a mega-fight. Only those two names (Nurmagomedov and McGregor) that are the names big enough for him and enticing."
