Conor McGregor UFC news: Notorious posts video of his son chanting 'champ champ'

Conor McGregor showed his son looks like being a chip off the block in a video posted on social media.

The Notorious went for a spin with the two-year-old and urged the youngster to repeat the phrase "champ champ".

McGregor started using "champ champ" after beating Eddie Alvarez to become a two-weight world champion in November 2016.

And he patiently waited until his son, sat in the back of the car, repeated the phrase much to the delight of his dad.

Meanwhile, McGregor led the congratulations as his good pal Paddy Holohan won a seat on South Dublin County Council.

Holahan, a former UFC fighter, was elected for Sinn Fein in the South Tallaght area on Sunday evening.

The former SBG teammate of McGregor was hotly tipped to take a seat after the first few counts and by 7pm last night he was punching the air in delight.

Holahan tweeted after being elected a councillor: "I topped the poll with #1 votes and have been elected by the community I grew up in!

"Thank you to everyone who voted for me! I love you Jobstown...from council kid to councillor."

The congratulations rained in for Holahan including from his close friend McGregor who wrote: "Congratulations Paddy Holohan! An amazing achievement!"

Former Ireland international Kevin Kilbane said: "Congratulations Paddy. Delighted for you and hope you can make a real difference."

Holoan saw his fighting career come to an abrupt end when he was forced to retire from the sport in 2016 on the advice of doctors.

He explained he has Factor XIII missing from his blood, meaning he would be unable to pass the UFC’s medical requirements.

He now joins Olympic medal-winning boxer Kenneth Egan who retained his South Dublin County Council seat for Fine Gael in Clondalkin.
