Conor McGregor UFC news: Notorious pays tribute to Artem Lobov after Bare Knuckle FC defeat to Jason Knight

Conor McGregor has paid tribute to Artem Lobov following the Russian Hammer's Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship defeat to Jason Knight.

Lobov lost the rematch with the American over the weekend having won the initial fight between the pair in April.

Taking to Instagram to praise his Straight Blast Gym teammate, McGregor commented: "What a warrior.

"What a journey this has been mate.

"What a journey this is! You blow me away bro, from the world tours to the ultimate fighter to this! You deserve the world and more my brother!

"Congrats on another amazing fight! What a story!

"Brothers for life mate.️

"Congrats to Jason Knight.

"Amazing warrior.

"Great fight.

Meanwhile, McGregor took some time out of training for his UFC return to hit pads with his son Conor junior last week.

The Irishman practiced striking with his two-year-old at SBG Ireland's new Dublin HQ, which was put on lockdown earlier this week by head coach John Kavanagh .

This footage was shared on the Irishman’s Instagram feed yesterday, where it has been viewed more than a million times.

Accompanying the clip, the fighter wrote: “We reap what we sow," which fans saying the same thing about McGregor’s young son, with one calling him a "future champ champ."

Another commented: “That kid is going to be a beast when he grows up.”

It comes as The former two-weight World champion is expected to take on Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone on January 18 having not fought since he was choked out by Khabib Nurmagomedov.

McGregor wants to fight three times next year - against Cerrone, Jorge Masvidal and finally Khabib Nurmagomedov for a second time.
