Conor McGregor UFC news: Notorious launches scathing attack on Khabib Nurmagomedov

Conor McGregor has launched yet another a scathing attack on his bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov, claiming that his UFC rival isrunning away from a potential Moscow rematch.

McGregor is in Russia at the moment, and hosted a press conference in Moscow this morning, announcing his UFC return date and updating fans on his future.

The former two-weight UFC champ hasn't not fought since being choked out by Khabib last October at UFC 229.

Nurmagomedov, meanwhile, returned to action when he dominated Dustin Poirier last month and Tony Ferguson is next in line to challenge the UFC lightweight champion - but McGregor isn't waiting around.

And, after confirming his UFC return for January 18th in Las Vegas, the Dubliner was keen to make it clear that he wants to exact revenge on the Russian.

At the Moscow press conference, McGregor said: "It will happen. I am not waiting around for that man, he is a known pull-out.

"You can run but you cannot hide. He ran out of the press conference in Moscow last week. It is in his nature. Trust me I am coming for him.

"Where is he now in this country? I fly in, he flies out. Typical.

"I am going to go through the entire roster like a chainsaw through butter."

McGregor continued his attack during the press conference in Moscow and teased fans over a potential rematch with the Russian.

He added: "The people want it. His own father wants it. He does not want it. He wants to bring a man down to a weight he has never competed in before.

"Even though in that weight division, he himself has almost died at making that weight.

"He is afraid of risk. A man who fears risk will conquer nothing.

"There will be no longevity in his career as he does not take risks at all.

"His last opponent was a former featherweight who I knocked out in 90 seconds, it took him three rounds to get the job done.
