Conor McGregor UFC news: Notorious has another swipe at Khabib Nurmagomedov - but gets quick response

Conor McGregor couldn't resist another little dig at Khabib Nurmagomedov - but it was the Crumlin man who came off worse in their latest Twitter exchange.

McGregor has remained typically vocal since announcing his MMA retirement last week, praising Justin Gaethje's knockout in the main event, taking a shot at Jose Aldo, and seemingly calling out Hollywood actor Mark Wahlberg for a fight.

And the former "champ-champ" had to take the bait from his old foe after Khabib posted on Instagram about going five "championship rounds" in training.

"You got your money took and your brothers eye socket shook when you fought me you little rat," McGregor quipped.

"Viva Las Vegas baby the gaf always wins. Big stomper party in the Wynn coming soon!"

He signed off the post with #ad, seemingly promoting the luxury Wynn Las Vegas Resort.

The McGregor marketing certainly worked as the usual numbers came rolling in, but the UFC lightweight champion ensured he left one on the retiree's chin in response.

"Money comes and goes, the honor that you lost that evening will never return, live with it," he replied.

"Finish career in MMA, but start career on twitter? #TwitterWarrior."

Having won the fight at UFC 229, Khabib will always have the upper hand in these scraps, and here he doled out another L to the Notorious as expected.
