Conor McGregor UFC news: Notorious believes he will be a billionaire by age of 35

Conor McGregor believes he will be a billionaire by the age of 35.

The Notorious, 31, makes his highly anticipated UFC return this weekend when he faces Donald Cerrone and predicts he will make over €70million from the bout.

McGregor has hinted at retirement on numerous occasions, but now says he will fight on for a number of years.

When asked if he'll still be fighting at 40, the Dubliner said: "I don't know, probably.

“But I'm gonna have a solid couple of years, though. I know I'll be rocking until I'm 35. I'm gonna hit the billy ($1 billion) by the time I'm 35 years of age - I'll be a billionaire by the time I'm 35.”

McGregor got a huge payday from his 2017 boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather and would like another crack at the 50-0 fighter.

He told ESPN: "I'd like to rematch Floyd. I think we should rematch Floyd.

"I mean, he's flirting with it ... he can go and pick someone else, (but) it's not gonna be the same."

Meanwhile, McGregor revealed he was drinking alcohol in the week build-up up to his last fight.

He told ESPN: "I was drinking all bleeding fight week. I had venom in me or something.

"I had people holed up in a hotel and I would ring and arrange a fight, they would come to the gym and have a full-blown fight with no headguards.

"I'd have a war, win and knock the guy out and go off and celebrate and come back in three days.

"I wasn't doing what I should have been doing; I've made mistakes and I've been man enough to admit them."

McGregor insists he is a reformed character following a hiatus which saw him fined for punching a man in a Dublin pub.

"If I'm in the wrong, I'm in the wrong," he added. "I let people down and that's it. I'm in a position where I must take control of things and not shy away.

"I've never done that in my career and I never will; the people who believe in me and support me deserve better.

"I'm putting in the work and the focused work, that's why were in such good spirits."
