Jose Aldo has paid a glowing tribute to his old rival Conor McGregor after the Dubliner's retirement announcement.
The Notorious apparently hanged up his gloves last week after a career that saw him become a two-weight world champion.
One of the Crumlin fighter's highlights was a 13 second knock out win over Aldo who boasted a 10-year unbeaten streak at the time.

But there seems to be no bitterness on the part of the Brazilian who has praised the impact McGregor has made on the sport.
Aldo told Portal do Vale Tudo: “What he did for the sport and what he won – if I fought Floyd Mayweather and made 80 million dollars, the UFC would never see me again too.
“Do you really think I would train multiple martial arts three times a day?
“He had a brilliant career, he was a great fighter and if he really is retiring, I congratulate him for all he did in the sport.”
