Conor McGregor UFC News: Jorge Masvidal takes aim at MMA stars who go too far with 'trash talk'

Jorge Masvidal basted his way into the UFC welterweight title picture on Saturday, and may have taken a shot at Conor McGregor after a career-defining win.

The 34-13 fighter knocked out Ben Askren in just five seconds at UFC 239 to earn the fastest win in company history and hand Askren his first career loss.

And in his post-fight press conference, 'Gamebred' took aim at trash talking fighters after there had been a heated build-up to the bout.

"Ben Askren talked about my manhood, talked about my ethnicity, talked about my culture, where do we draw the line?"

And he continued to potentially allude to McGregor's controversial pre-fight antics from his bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov last year.

"Everything is cool, you can do or say anything you want before a fight, like other fighters are doing, talking about people’s religion, wife, even kids, that’s cool?

"But after a fight I’m not allowed to showboat and rub it in your face so guys like you can see it and think maybe I don’t talk so much s***?"

And Masvidal isn't the only UFC fighter who is unhappy with 'The Notorious'.

Donald Cerrone has claimed Conor McGregor has turned down the opportunity to fight him a number of times.

The 19-4 Irishman has been linked with fighting the American, but Cerrone insists the Dubliner "won’t sign his end of the deal".

He told MMA Junkie: “That’s been so close so many times.

“The funny thing is, when Diaz fought McGregor, I just fought, and I was flying on that Sunday, and they called me and were like, ‘Hey, do you want the McGregor fight?’

“So he turned me down back then, turned me down three or four other times now. It’s crazy to me.

“His last fight, we were supposed to do it, and it just deteriorated. I don’t know, he just won’t sign his end of the deal.”
